Shaskya Atelier is operated by Henriqueta Djalo, a sole trader trading as Shaskya Atelier. Henriqueta Djalo is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Information we collect
Depending on how you contact or work with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number and contact preferences;
- wedding or celebration details, including date, location, venue, guest numbers, chosen service, estimated investment and the information you include in your enquiry;
- consultation notes, design preferences, approvals, correspondence and supplier information connected with your celebration;
- contract, invoice and payment records; and
- technical and security information created when you use our website.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in the website enquiry form. If information about accessibility, allergies or health is genuinely needed to deliver an agreed service, we will handle it with additional care.
How and why we use it
- To review and respond to your enquiry and take steps you request before entering into a contract.
- To prepare proposals, provide agreed design and styling services, manage payments and communicate with you under our contract.
- To keep appropriate business, tax and legal records and meet our legal obligations.
- To protect our website, business and legal rights where this is necessary for our legitimate interests and does not override your rights.
We do not use enquiry details to send unrelated marketing without the permission required by law, and we do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only when necessary. This may include trusted providers that support our website hosting, enquiry delivery, business email, document storage, bookkeeping and professional advice. When you ask us to collaborate with a venue or supplier, we may share the information reasonably needed for that work. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on an approved legal transfer mechanism or another lawful safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiries that do not become bookings are generally kept for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. Client, contract and financial records are generally kept for up to six years after the service or relevant financial period, unless the law requires a different period or a dispute makes longer retention necessary. We then delete or securely anonymise the information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, or object to how it is used. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing.
